Day ago Facebook launched Skype-powered video calling, it is only compatible to major versions of Mac and Windows and OS X Lion is not supported. Here is a guide to get Facebook video chat on OS X.
Here is a tweak to get Facebook video chat compatible to your operating system. To make this working you need to change browser user –agent.
Safari Users
Users having latest version of safari on Lion follow these steps
Got to System Preferences> Advanced and enable Developer menu. You will see new option on menu bar “Develop” Click it. And Now click User Agent> Safari 5.1- Mac that’s it!
You just have to change the user agent that will work with Facebook Video Calling service have tested Safari 5.1(Mac), 5.0.1(Mac) and enjoy… below is a picture to get clear view of it.
Firefox Users:
Those who are using Firefox just install a Add-on User-Agent-Switcher for fooling Facebook and switch to internet Explorer 8 from tools.
Chrome Users:
Like Firefox chrome has a very big collection of plugin and it very easy to use just install User-Agent Switcher plugin and click on icon near to address bar and use Explorer 8
