Tokyo Electric Power Co officials said that third explosion was heard on Tuesday at a quake-stricken Japanese nuclear power plant and staff around the affected reactor was ordered to leave the site.
Authorities have said, there have been explosions twice before which have damaged some roofing from the plant, but these had not damaged the reactor vessels.
There was no immediate report on any damage from this third blast
Authorities are trying to prevent meltdowns in nuclear reactors by flooding the chambers with sea water to cool them down in all three of the plants.
Japan is facing the desaster sine the first earthquake of 8.9 magnnitude.
