Tropical Cyclone Yasi Hits Australia


A satellite image shows tropical cyclone Yasi passing near the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu heading towards the coast of Australia
authorities are now knocking on the doors of Queensland citizens forcing them to leave their homes as the wrath of Tropical Cyclone Yasi approaches the region.

Australia has recently experienced severe flooding and now they have to face another test from nature.

The force evacuation of Queensland was implemented by Queensland Premier Anna Bligh, for the fear the water level in the area will rise as Tropical Cyclone Yasi arrives Thursday morning.

In latest report released by Bureau of Meteorology through smh.com states satellite images shows that Yasi will hit Cairns first. Tropical Cyclone Yasi was last spotted heading to Cooktown covering as far as Townsville.

Bligh is giving directives to authorities to impose force evacuations in case citizens will refuse to leave their homes and properties.

Moreover, Ian Stewart, the state disaster co-ordinator is calling the cooperation of the people to evacuate as high risk of disaster is currently foreseen by authorities.
