Baba Ramdev's movement against corruption was cruelly suppress continue his fast in Haridwar

From the Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi to his yagyashala in Patanjali Peeth in Haridwar, in his home turf Uttarakhand, yoga guru Baba Ramdev's movement against corruption was cruelly cut short. But the feisty new age yoga guru is undeterred.

The midnight crackdown by the government may have broken up the massive crowd, but not his spirit. Baba Ramdev is in no mood to back off and has promised to continue his agitation.

Baba Ramdev said that he wanted to go to Noida, but was stopped by police because of imposition of section 144. He said that he will talk to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati on Monday for permission to go to Noida, but till then he will continue his fast inside Patanjali peeth.

It's nothing compared to the hundreds who landed in Delhi to support Ramdev's crusade against corruption, but Baba Ramdev has appealed to his followers in Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh to join him at the Peeth from Monday onwards. However he maintains that this is temporary.

Ramdev said he will come back to Delhi come what may.

But the confidence was missing in the morning when a shaken Baba Ramdev landed amidst his sewaks in Haridwar, though he was angry enough to take on the government.

He blamed the government and the Delhi police for brutality and blamed Sonia Gandhi saying, "Earlier I didn't used to pay attention to the fact that Sonia Gandhi wasn't born in this country. But, after Saturday night's incident, it shows that she does not have any place for the women and children of this nation."

The day long drama on Sunday, with visits from the Chief Minister and old friend ND Tiwari showing support for Baba's cause, ended with Ramdev promising to join Anna Hazare in his campaign on June 8.
