The spokesperson for the NGO told the media that Shahrukh Khan expressed his desire to quit smoking in a recent interview.

Taking the initiative, the NGO sent a nicotine replacement therapy kit along with a booklet, containing the information regarding the damages of smoking.

The spokesperson said that if Shahrukh quit smoking, it would send a positive message to his fans, particularly to youth that would give a boost to anti smoking campaign.
