A vacation bench of justices B S Chauhan and Swatenter Kumar issued notices to the Union Home Secretary, Chief Secretary of Delhi, Delhi Police Commissioner and Delhi administration, asking all of them to respond within two weeks.
The honorable Supreme Court asked them to reply as to the circumstances under which the people had to be dispersed in the midnight by the use of force, and posted the matter for further hearing to the second week of July, 2011.
The court declined to entertain a petition filed by advocate Ajay Aggarwal on the issue, and the publication of a white paper by the GOI, and showed it’s displeasure at the entire matter appearing in Media even before the honorable court was seized of the matter, it’s contents and as also the time and date showing it’s admittance. It wondered why it was leaked and was not interested in how it leaked though, saying “we are not inclined to entertain the petition”
Mean while Ramdev baba is re enacting the fast unto death at Haridwar, Uttarakhand, India, after the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Bahen Mayawath disallowed him permission into Uttar Pradesh, and declared prohibitory orders in many places of the State.
The anti graft fighter and civil society activist and member, Anna Hazare, announced to go on fast without food, on June 8, 2011 at Jantar Mantar, India. The Barathiya Janata Party BJP has under taken a protest nationwide denouncing th arrest of Ramdev baba and termed it as a black day and re visit of the EMERGENCY PROCLAMATION.
